Wellness & Hydration

Track your water intake and build healthy hydration habits during work

Overview

Z8 includes a wellness feature to help you stay hydrated throughout your workday. The hydration tracking system includes:

  • Dashboard Widget - Track your daily water intake at a glance
  • Water Reminders - Gentle notifications while you're clocked in
  • Streak Tracking - Build healthy habits with gamification
  • Customizable Goals - Set your own daily targets

Dashboard Widget

The Hydration Tracker widget appears on your dashboard when wellness features are enabled:

Features

  • Daily Progress - See how many glasses you've had vs. your goal
  • Progress Bar - Visual indicator of your daily target
  • Streak Counter - Track consecutive days of meeting your goal
  • Quick Log Buttons - Log 1 or 2 glasses with a single click

Using the Widget

Find the Hydration Tracker widget on your dashboard

Click "+1 Glass" or "+2 Glasses" to log water intake

Watch your progress bar fill as you work toward your daily goal

When you reach 100%, you'll see a celebration message

The widget only appears when wellness features are enabled in your settings.


Water Reminders

Get gentle reminders to drink water while you're clocked in at work.

How It Works

  • Reminders only appear while you're clocked in
  • They stop when you clock out or take breaks
  • Each reminder is a non-intrusive notification
  • You can dismiss or snooze reminders

Reminder Presets

Configuring Wellness Settings

Enable Water Reminders

Go to SettingsWellness

Toggle "Enable Water Reminders" on

Choose a reminder preset:

  • Light (60 min)
  • Moderate (45 min) - Recommended
  • Active (30 min)
  • Custom (set your own interval)

Click "Save Changes"

Set Your Daily Goal

Go to SettingsWellness

Use the Daily Goal slider to set your target

Choose between 1-20 glasses per day (default: 8)

Click "Save Changes"

The recommended daily water intake is 8 glasses, but this varies based on activity level, climate, and personal health needs.

Custom Reminder Interval

If the presets don't fit your needs:

Select "Custom" from the preset dropdown

Use the slider to set your interval (15-120 minutes)

Click "Save Changes"


Streak Tracking

Build healthy habits by maintaining your hydration streak:

How Streaks Work

  • Meet your daily goal to continue your streak
  • Missing a day resets your streak to 0
  • Your longest streak is tracked for motivation
  • Current streaks display on the dashboard widget

Streak Display

When you have an active streak:

  • An orange flame icon shows your current streak
  • "Personal best!" appears when you match or beat your record
  • The streak counter shows consecutive days of goal completion

Tips for Staying Hydrated

  1. Start your day with water - Drink a glass when you first clock in
  2. Keep water visible - Place a water bottle at your desk
  3. Use reminder presets - Start with "Moderate" and adjust as needed
  4. Log immediately - Track drinks as you have them for accuracy
  5. Pair with breaks - Drink water during your break reminders

Proper hydration can improve focus, reduce fatigue, and boost overall well-being during your workday.
