Introduction to the Z8 Team Management System

Welcome to Z8! This section will help you get up and running quickly.

What is Z8?

Z8 is a comprehensive team management system that helps organizations manage:

  • Employee profiles and assignments
  • Time tracking and work schedules (with GoBD compliance)
  • Vacation and absence management
  • Team structure and permissions
  • Holiday calendars with country presets
  • Multi-channel notifications (email, push, in-app)
  • Analytics and reporting with export capabilities

Quick Start

For Employees

  1. Log in to your organization's Z8 instance
  2. Complete onboarding - The guided onboarding flow will walk you through setup
  3. Set up your profile - Add your name, photo, and notification preferences
  4. Enable notifications - Allow push notifications for real-time updates
  5. Check your schedule - View your work hours and vacation balance
  6. Start tracking time - Use the quick clock in/out widget in the header

For Managers

  1. Complete the employee steps above
  2. Review your team - See who reports to you
  3. Handle approvals - Process time-off and correction requests
  4. Monitor schedules - Ensure adequate team coverage

For Administrators

  1. Complete the manager steps above
  2. Complete admin onboarding - The guided onboarding includes:
    • Holiday Setup: Select your country to import public holidays
    • Vacation Policy: Configure vacation allowances and carryover rules
    • Work Templates: Set up standard work schedules
  3. Add employees - Create profiles and assign managers
  4. Manage permissions - Grant team-level access as needed
