Work Models and Contracts
Manage employee work model and contract history for expected hours and compliance context.
Work models describe where and how an employee is expected to work. Contract history keeps expected time, contract type, and other employment changes auditable over time instead of overwriting past assumptions.
What to Track
- Weekly contract hours or minutes used for expected time calculations.
- Contract type, such as fixed or hourly.
- Employment status and effective dates for changes.
- Work model values such as onsite, hybrid, remote, or flexible.
- Payroll or overtime rules that depend on those values.
Why History Matters
Historical work model records help payroll, reporting, and compliance checks interpret past time entries correctly. Avoid replacing old values when a new contract starts; add a new effective period instead.
Related Settings
Work models interact with work policies, holidays, payroll export, and employee management. Review those areas when contract expectations change.
